Choices Women’s Medical Center moved to its present location in Jamaica, Queens in 2012. We had learned there was a great need in Jamaica for high-quality medical services that enabled women and teens to have healthy pregnancies and births, as well as assistance in planning the families they wanted to have. We knew Choices could provide these needed services.
From its beginning in 1971, Choices’ mission always has been to meet women’s reproductive health needs with compassion and the highest level of medical skill. With our move, we continued our services of full gynecological care and a complete Prenatal Program, in addition to ongoing family planning (birth control) and abortion services to 24 weeks of pregnancy. We have also added a Tele-Health/Tele-Medicine program that was one of the first of its kind.
Choices is a mirror of Queens in its diversity of patients and our staff. Since we opened our doors here, we have enabled hundreds of women of all nationalities and backgrounds to have positive pregnancy experiences and give birth to healthy babies. We have enabled thousands more to plan their pregnancies, as well as get routine Gynecological care and Well Woman exams. Choices also participates in community meetings, health fairs at local colleges and leads workshops at education centers and high schools, free of charge as a community service.
